Garrigues slipcovered the sofa in toile and placed brass seashells atop the coffee table to hold Moroccan potpourri.  The cantaloupe-colored dining room, above right, is accented with a painted checkerboard floor and faux leopard, a touch of exoticism that is a signature of Garrigues style.  The hand-painted cotton throw from India, a gift from her mother,  features the tree of life and serves as a casual table covering.

In the living room, beckoning with the treasures from her travels, she has set aside one corner as her "career and relationship corner."  She points to her artwork.   Painting are scenes of Istanbul spires, French church steeples, and the pyramids of Egypt.

"I believe pyramids and spires can take your energies upward," she says.   When traveling in Egypt, she was inspired by the legacy of Queen Nefertiti.   "She was the mother of King Tut, always had a beautiful table, and entertained with perfumes and scents.  I have a wonderful vision that I have embodied in Nefertiti."
